Happy Birthday Rabbie Burns!

The Scot's are celebrating tonight with Haggis for it's Robert Burn's The Bard of Scotland's Birthday today. Traditionally we Scot's eat Haggis after we recite a Poem written by Rabbie himself. Here is that poem:

Address To a Haggis
Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face, Great chieftain o' the puddin-race! Aboon them a' ye tak your place, Painch, tripe, or thairm: Weel are ye wordy o' a grace As lang's my arm.
The groaning trencher there ye fill, Your hurdies like a distant hill, Your pin wad help to mend a mill In time o' need, While thro' your pores the dews distil Like amber bead.
His knife see rustic Labour dicht, An' cut you up wi' ready slicht, Trenching your gushing entrails bricht, Like ony ditch; And then, O what a glorious sicht, Warm-reekin, rich!

Hello Everyone.

Sorry it's been a while life has been pretty hectic and I am the worlds worst blogger. I hope everyone is having a lovely start to the New Year. I just completed 5 new Dollies and I plan on listing them in my store in the next few days so stay posted. I also spent today updating my website and confirming my invitation to be part of the 2nd Annual Haunted Mansion inspired show at Halloween Town in Burbank California in June 2011. The dates are still TBD.

Tim Burton's Retrospective @ The MOMA NYC

As some of you may or may not know I am an art school graduate from Scotland. I obtained a degree in animation and Stop-motion was my specialty. I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the medium from concept to animating. I particularly enjoyed the model making part. I was very inspired by Czechoslovakian film maker Jan Svankmeyer, The Brothers Quay and of course Aardman.But it was the director Tim Burton that moved me to study Stop-Motion. Through watching his movies and reading his biographies I felt I could relate to him on an artistic level. I admired his passion for stop-motion and keeping the medium alive.

Where is all this leading? I thought I ought to add a little blurb before I started slapping up links to sites that has nothing to do with Me. It's all about the Tim Burton Retrospective at New York's MOMA. http://www.moma.org/visit/calendar/exhibitions/313. If you happen to live in NY or find yourself in NY do me a favour and go visit this exhibit! I won't get the chance to see it.
